Can I use composite decking for under my deck?
June 18 2014This clever home owner needed a solution for the area underneath their 1st floor deck. They required a very low maintenance solution given the residence is a holiday home with occasional use and very close to the sea so exposed to the rigours of salt air.
Their first preference was for timber but the time and cost involved in maintaining it at a suitable level meant timber was not the best option. So after conducting substantial research both on their own and with the help of their builder they decided Hybrideck wood composite decking in cedar was going to be the best option. They used Hybrideck concealed fixing system to keep the aesthetic appeal and avoid screws showing.
Two weeks later and an outstanding wood composite finish that will last for a long time with no maintenance. Great work and great finish.
